Theresa is an award-winning documentary filmmaker and video editor with a niche focus in documentary and commercial editing. She is committed to amplifying underrepresented voices in the media and finding the most effective and compelling ways to tell someone’s story.

She is currently working as a freelance video editor while pursuing her own short documentary projects.  Her expertise lies in Documentary Filmmaking with 10 + years experience working on various films in the SF Bay Area and Los Angeles. She has been an associate producer for PBS Frontline documentaries like “Death By Fire” and assistant editor on feature documentaries such as "An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth To Power."  She has edited music videos, short films, and commercials for broadcast viewing.

In addition to filmmaking, Theresa is a fierce advocate for workers’ rights and also works as a Tax Advisor for artists and freelancers with Brass Taxes so that she can help other freelancers and gig economy workers feel more empowered when it comes to their finances.

When she’s not working on films or helping people with their taxes, Theresa works as a Death Doula. She volunteers at the local hospice, facilitates grief circles and death cafes within her queer community, and provides practical and emotional end-of-life support to individuals and families in her area.
